The Steps to Create Your Own Heirloom Masterpiece

1. Inspiration & Consultation

Contact Terroir Wood Studio with your project idea using the form below to help Jason start the ideation and quoting process.

2. Plan- Sketch, Time, Materials

After an introductory consultation a simple, rough drawing will be produced along with a list of materials. All work is quoted on time and materials for approval.

3. Final Design, Time & Materials

After a plan is agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required. The deposit is non-refundable and allows for the purchase of materials, secures time on Terroir’s schedule and provides the final rendering of the design.

4. The Work Begins

Once the final rendering is approved and the deposit is received the real work begins. Progress emails and/or visits to see the progression are part of the process.

5. Product, Payment & Delivery

When the work is completed, arrangements for the final payment and delivery are finalized.

CUSTOM ORDER DEFINITION OF TERMS

Contract – The agreement between the Customer and the Terroir Wood Studio for products and services rendered.

Contract Price – The amount charged by Terroir Wood Studio to the customer for the Work, Product Design and/or any additional items and charges made.

Company – Terroir Wood Studio

Customer – The consumer, business or organization requesting custom heirloom furniture or carpentry/millwork from the Terroir Wood Studio.

Design Deposit - The non-refundable payment to be determined by Terroir Wood Studio for Product Design. Design Deposit must be paid before any technical drawings are produced. Any surplus payment paid to the Design Deposit may be rolled into Product Deposit.

Change Order – A change made after approval of the Quotation by the Customer, which affects the configuration of the design, materials and/or the construction methods or techniques. All Changes Orders may incur additional charges. Terroir Wood Studio has final say as to whether a Change Order will be approved or incur additional charges.

Order – Payment of the Design Deposit and Product Deposit and written confirmation by the Customer that they want to proceed with the Contract.

Product Deposit – The non-refundable payment of 50% of the remaining Contract price. The Product Deposit must be paid before any Work begins.

Product Design - The creation of a concept for a Unit, which may include but not limited to: measurements, building plans, specifications and list of materials.

Quotation – The description of the works and the Contract price offered for those works by the Company to the Customer.

Terms – These terms and conditions, which apply to all Contracts unless otherwise stated.

Unit/Piece/Product – Used interchangeably, these all refer to the custom-ordered heirloom quality woodworking produced by Jason Sharp at Terroir Wood Studio.

Work – Includes the creation and installation for the pieces(s) and any additional goods and services provided by Terroir Wood Studio to the Customer under the Contract. Work does not include Product Design.
